About PawVerdi and how we work
An independent publisher, funded by readers, with a stated method and a short list of things we refuse to do.
What PawVerdi is
PawVerdi is an independent resource for people who want to make good decisions about a dog or cat without wading through advertising. We publish setup checklists, cost breakdowns and gear guidance, and we make money when readers buy through sponsored links.
How we research
Every guide is built from three sources:
- Manufacturer specifications. Dimensions, materials, weight limits, stated intended use.
- Published veterinary and behaviour guidance. Professional bodies, peer-reviewed literature, established welfare standards.
- Current retailer listings. What is actually available, at what price, with what return policy.
What we do not do
We do not operate a product testing laboratory. We do not claim to have personally used every item we mention. Where a recommendation comes from specification analysis rather than hands-on use, the page says so.
We are not veterinarians. Nothing here is medical advice. Any health question about your pet belongs with a vet who has examined it.
How we make money
Sponsored links earn us a commission when a reader buys something. The price you pay is identical to buying direct. No retailer pays for a placement, a ranking, or a favourable review, and no brand has ever reviewed an article before publication.
Editorial corrections
If a fact is wrong, we change it and note the change. Email us with the page and the specific claim. We would rather be corrected than be confident and wrong.
Who is behind it
PawVerdi is an independent publisher. It is not affiliated with any retailer, manufacturer or veterinary practice. Contact details are on the contact page.
